MYRNA PALLEY GLASS PRIZE

Beaux Arts has permanently named our first glass prize after a dear friend and supporter of both Beaux Arts and the Lowe Art Museum. Myrna Palley was a great lover of the art of glass, and together with her husband, Sheldon, donated their collection to the Lowe, along with a large gift to build what is now the Myrna and Sheldon Palley Pavilion for Contemporary Glass. What is not so well known, however, was Myrna’s love for our organization and community outreach. She was a long time judge for the Student Artist Showcase, and every year she chose her own “Honorable Mentions” with special awards. We miss Myrna and her passion for the arts, her quick wit, and her generous spirit.
