Patrick Battle Jr. Memorial Fund

The Patrick Battle Jr. Memorial Fund

Through the generosity of more than 200 families, we are thrilled to announce that The Patrick Battle, Jr. Memorial Fund will be permanently endowed to fund the Student Artist Showcase prize money in perpetuity. Following Patrick’s courageous fight with cancer, Beaux Arts wanted to keep his spirit and passion for the Student Artist Showcase alive. Through the generosity of all of you, this dream has come true.

Beaux Arts voted in the spring of 2021 to create this endowment. The love and support shown by all of you is a testament to The Battle Family and enables us to fulfill our goal to make a permanent contribution in Patrick Battle, Jr.’s memory and in The Battle Family’s honor.

Patrick Battle Jr. loved Beaux Arts and was an artist himself. Patrick participated in the Beaux Arts Student Artist Showcase held at the Lowe Art Museum and attended many Festivals of Art and Beaux Arts summer art camps. Through Patrick’s involvement with the Student Artist Showcase, he became a staunch lover of the arts and was a frequent exhibitor selected by a juried panel to participate in the Student Artist Showcase. Patrick’s smile was infectious as he walked the Festival of Art grounds with his family and while working in the Coke booths with his siblings and friends.

His mom, Michele Battle, served as a Beaux Arts President, was a Festival of Art chair, and continues to be an active supporter of our organization. Patrick’s aunts, Leslie and Jane Battle, are also Beaux Arts associates as was his grandmother Phyllis Battle. Indeed, the Battle family has been an integral part of Beaux Arts history and exemplifies love of the arts, friendship and community.

Thank you to everyone involved in and supportive of the effort to create The Patrick Battle, Jr. Memorial Fund, a permanent legacy in his name.
